Schaeffer’s receive Markesbery Award from UK
Two of Body Recall’s long time students and Fall Recovery Team Members, Dr. Everett and Roberta Schaeffer, 93 and 95 respectively were recently named recipients of the 2010 William R. Markesbery Senior Star Award, presented annually through the University of Kentucky’s Sanders-Brown Center on Aging Foundation. This rather prestigious award is meant to “ recognize and honor individuals who exemplify graceful aging by remaining engaged in active lifestyle” and “who have been an inspiration to many in communities across the Commonwealth.” Body Recall received official notification that Doc and Roberta will be one of only five individuals (and the only couple) to receive this year’s award which will be presented on Tuesday evening, September 7th at the Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, KY.
